Recap: Lecturers Appreciation Week
Miss me? Sorry for my absence. I had Midterms and some work to do. Anyways, on with the event.
This week was Lecturers Appreciation Week for those who did not know. It had been a very hectic week for the preparations and such. The HMC Student Council sold roses, chocolates and message while Joshua went around taking candid shots of lecturers and I went around gathering video dedications. This happened throughout the whole week.
Today, on the 30 May 2008, at 12.30pm, a lunch was organised for the lecturers. Food were brought by the HMC Student Council; a potluck for the lecturers. There were tarts, quiche, sandwiches and fried rice .
After that, the lecturers were asked to head to the Theatrette where we started off with a short movie which I made for the lecturers. It ended after 20 minutes and Victoria gave her short speech. Later, there was a game. The game was charades and the theme was movies and I can tell you that the lecturers are really good actors and really good at guessing.
However, after the charades, Mr. Dhanesh gave a short speech and apologised as he had to leave for something else. The function continued with the giving of roses and chocolates. The cutting of cake for Mr. Levin’s farewell was followed after. The cake was chocolate indulgance.
The event ended there officially, however, the lecturers stuck around for a while to pose for the camera. I guess they had a lot of fun during the event, laughing and being appreciated.
That is all, Eugene out.
